Workshop Overview
This hands-on workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of recording and live sound. Led by local musicians and technicians, participants will gain practical skills in both studio and stage environments.
What You'll Learn
• Microphone placement techniques for vocals and instruments
• Understanding gain staging and signal flow
• How to set up and run a PA system for live shows
• Basics of mixing for live and recorded sound
• Recording a demo track to take home
Hands-On Activities
Students will work directly with professional equipment, practicing mic setups, adjusting sound levels, and creating a live mix. Each participant will record a rough demo to showcase their learning.
